Global Strategic Relationships

Our Talent Pool

We work across the global as a trusted advisor and investment management recruiter. We have clients operating across all key investment hubs but are most active across the Americas and EMEA.

CLIENT TYPES

Diverse Relationships

We have experience delivering for a variety of clients but we are most commonly engaged by the following firms:

TRADITIONAL ASSET MANAGERS

We work with several leading real money investment houses who typically manage investments for institutional clients such as pension funds, endowments, and insurance companies, as well as high-net-worth individuals. They focus on a specific asset class or invest across a diverse range of asset types, including stocks, bonds, real estate, and commodities. These firms engage us as their investment management recruiters to identify talent across Investor, Economist and Quant style roles.

ALTERNATIVE ASSET MANAGERS

Alternative asset managers are financial institutions that manage investments in non-traditional, or “alternative,” asset classes. These asset classes may include private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, real estate, and commodities, among others. Many of our key clients fall within this category and they rely on us to provide top tier alpha generators as their investment management recruiters.

SOVEREIGN WEALTH FUNDS

These firms manage the investments of sovereign wealth funds, which are government-owned investment vehicles that hold assets such as stocks, bonds, real estate, and natural resources. They may also provide related services such as portfolio construction and risk management.

PENSION FUNDS

These firms manage the investments of pension plans, including defined benefit and defined contribution plans, on behalf of their clients. They may also provide related services such as actuarial consulting and risk management.

ENDOWMENT FUNDS

These firms manage the investments of endowment funds, which are typically established by educational institutions, museums, hospitals, and other non-profit organizations. They aim to maximize returns while also preserving the long-term financial stability of the endowment.

Growth Prospects

Increasing Demand

The institutional investment management sector is expected to continue to experience growth in the coming years, driven by a number of factors.

One key driver of growth in the sector is the increasing complexity of the financial landscape, which is prompting more institutions to seek professional guidance in managing their financial assets. This theme has led to an increase in AUM across the sector and as such an increase in our demand as investment management recruiters. This trend is being fueled by a variety of factors, including the increasing globalization of financial markets, the growing importance of emerging markets, and the ongoing impact of regulatory changes. Another factor that is expected to contribute to the growth of the institutional investment management sector is the increasing adoption of technology and automation in the financial services industry. As investment management recruiters a key part of our role has been to connect investment houses with tech and quant “literate” investors. As technology continues to advance, it is likely that more investment management firms will adopt digital platforms and tools to streamline their operations and provide better service to their clients. In addition, the continued expansion of the global economy is expected to drive growth in the institutional investment management sector, as more institutions look to capitalize on new investment opportunities and manage their risk exposure.

Overall, the future growth prospects for the institutional investment management sector appear to be strong, as more institutions seek professional guidance in managing their financial assets and as technology continues to drive innovation and efficiency in the industry.
